Colas: contract for renewal of railway tracks
(CercleFinance.com) - Colas and its subsidiary Colas Rail announce the signature, with SNCF Réseau, of a contract for the renewal of tracks and the acquisition of platforms between the towns of Beillant and Saintes in Charente-Maritime, for a total of 11 million euros.
This contract includes the renewal of ballast over 11 kilometres, as well as structural and drainage works to ensure the proper drainage of water from the platform, Colas said.
The works will occur during a total interruption of rail traffic in September-October 2020 (eight weeks). Colas will install the drainage systems while Colas Rail will carry out the track renewal work.
