Colas: acquires stake in quarries in southwest France.

(CercleFinance.com) - Yesterday evening Colas announced taking a 50% stake in the capital of six quarries found in southwest France.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The seller, Sogefima, is owned by Mallet family.

Almost fully owned by Bouygues, the group, a specialist in roadworks, specifies that the seven sites involved (production and sales) have 130 employees. Their annual production, 2.5 million tonnes of aggregate, represents sales of around 40 million euros.

Colas said that “This acquisition is part of Colas' growth strategy in aggregate production, further strengthening the Group's geographical business network in France, particularly in and around the city of Toulouse.”
