Peugeot: bondholders agree to planned merger
(CercleFinance.com) - Peugeot has announced a successful consultation with its bondholders on the proposed merger with FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), after receiving a very large majority of votes at the end of each bondholder general meeting.
The carmaker has also obtained the required authorisations from its partner banks for its two revolving credit lines of three billion euros each, reflecting their confidence in its strategy for the creation of Stellantis.
The merger is expected to occur by the end of the first quarter of 2021, subject to customary closing conditions, including shareholder approval of the transaction and the satisfaction of antitrust and other regulatory requirements.
