Peugeot: could make 4,100 redundancies at Opel

PSA intends to downsize to cope with falling sales and technological issues.
Opel is expected to cut at least 2,100 jobs by 2025 and could carry out two waves of downsizing, affecting 1,000 jobs in 2027 and 2029, Bloomberg notes.
The group should inform employees about this decision in a general meeting today, Bloomberg says.
These 4,100 lay-offs represent approximately 14% of Opel's workforce of nearly 30,000 staff, it added.
