Peugeot: first autonomous driving tests in China
(CercleFinance.com) - PSA Group today says that it has received authorisation to start its first independent driving tests on open roads in China (Chongqing).
This “demonstrates its leading position in the development of vehicle connectivity and autonomous driving technology, reinforcing the Group's commitment to the Chinese market.”
The Group says that it is the first car maker to test autonomous cars on open roads in France, as from July 2015. It is also the first to have obtained authorisations to carry out experiments in autonomous mode with "non-expert" drivers in March 2017.
