PSA Group: Puretech Turbo named engine of the year
(CercleFinance.com) - The jury of the 20th edition of the International Engine of the Year Awards on Tuesday awarded the prize of engine of the Year award to the Turbo Pure Tech 110 S&S and 130 S&S 3 cylinder petrol engine, in the 1-litre to 1.
4-litre category.
This is the fourth consecutive year that PSA has won this award.
According to the group, the new generation of this engine reduces consumption by 4%, on average, compared to the previous generation, along with an improved engine response time, thanks to an optimized turbocharger, a 75% reduction in particle emissions, compliance with the RDE3 compliance factor of 1.5 set by the 2020 European regulation 3 years ahead of schedule, and a more compact structure to adapt to the new Common Modular Platform (CMP) dedicated to small city cars, core sedans and compact SUVs.
