Peugeot SA: sharp rise in Q1 sales

(CercleFinance.com) - Particularly thanks to the integration of Opel, PSA (Peugeot SA) Group's sales soared 42.
1% as reported in Q1 2018, to 18.2 billion euros. Note that the French carmaker sold a record 1.05 million vehicles over the period.

Like-for-like performance also remained high, reaching +21.6%. At the "Historic" PCD (Peugeot Citroën DS) Automobile division, growth came to 13.3% to 10.2 billion, while at Automotive OV (Opel Vauxhall), this figure reached 4.8 billion euros.

"In 2018, the Group anticipates a stable automotive market in Europe, and growth of 4% in Latin America, 10% in Russia and 2% in China," Peugeot said.

Group CFO, Jean-Baptiste de Chatillon: “Push to Pass strategic plan and Opel Vauxhall turnaround plan are on track to make this strong performance a solid basis for the future.”
