Thales: successfully launches satellite into orbit
(CercleFinance.com) - Omnispace and Thales Alenia Space, a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), have announced the successful placement of the Omnispace Spark-2TM satellite into orbit.
This marks the end of the deployment of the Omnispace SparkTM program, the initial development and delivery phase of the world's first 5G communications satellite network.
As prime contractor, Thales Alenia Space has designed and manufactured the Omnispace Spark satellites with the help of industrial partners such as NanoAvionics, ANYWAVES and Syrlinks.
Omnispace Spark-2 was put into orbit by Exolaunch, onboard a SpaceX launcher.
