Thales: acquires two cybersecurity companies
(CercleFinance.com) - Today Thales announced that it has signed a definitive agreement with Sonae Investment Management to purchase two leading European cybersecurity companies, S21sec and Excellium, for an enterprise value of 120 million euros.
The deal rounds out Thales' cybersecurity portfolio, strengthening its Security Operations Centre (SOC) services as well as its consulting, auditing and integration services, it said.
S21sec and Excellium employ a total of 546 people and generated combined revenues of 59 million euros in 2021. Subject to regulatory approvals and customary conditions, the transaction is expected to close in H2 2022.
