Thales: flight management system chosen by Airbus
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales says it has been selected by Airbus to equip its civil aircraft with its new flight management system, which opens up the field of possibilities for airlines with secure access to data from the open world.
By processing and sharing huge volumes of data, the new system will enable optimised operations, easier interoperability and reduced environmental impact, Thales said.
The new flight management system, derived from the PureFlyt product and adapted to Airbus' specificities, will be developed for its civil aircraft, and more specifically the A320, A330 and A350 families, for a planned introduction at the end of 2026.
