Thales: Berenberg still a buyer

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday Berenberg renewed its buy rating on Thales shares, along with a target price of 110 euros, citing a set of qualities that are deemed "convincing".

The German broker says that Thales remains one of the most attractive stocks in the European aerospace and defence sector due to its solid fundamentals, attractive valuation and a number of catalysts that could drive the price.

From this point of view, the ESG investor day that will be held next week could, the broker says, clear up a few black spots, representing an important meeting.

Berenberg is also surprised by the timid reception given to the sale of the group's transport division, which was a loss-making business, with the Thales share having falln 4% since it announced this sale.

In short, analysts say that the share seems significantly undervalued and consider that its recent decline represents an attractive entry point.
