Thales: air traffic control contract in Norway
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales today announces that it has been selected by Avinor Air Navigation Services, the Norwegian air navigation service provider, to deploy its new Safety Nets server in the air traffic control centres of Oslo, Stavanger and Bodø.
The company said that this innovative technology ensures an earlier detection of conflicts and has a lower rate of unjustified alerts than other safety nets.
The group will thus contribute to maintaining the highest level of safety in Norwegian airspace. Once the TopSky-Safety Nets solution is up and running, Thales will provide maintenance and support services for at least five years.
