Thales: pens deal with operator Telesat
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales Alenia Space, a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), has signed an agreement with the satellite operator Telesat to oversee the works of Lightspeed.
This is a multi-billion dollar network, based on an initial fleet of 298 low orbit (LEO) satellites.
Telesat will call on Thales Alenia Space to deliver not only the space and mission segments, but also to be responsible for end-to-end network performance.
