Thales: electric satellite now operational
(CercleFinance.com) - Largely manufactured by Thales Alenia Space, in a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), the Eutelsat Konnect telecommunications satellite is now operational.
Equipped with a 100%-electric propulsion system, the new satellite is designed to provide large-scale coverage of broadband Internet markets across Africa and Europe and will enable broadband Internet access services of up to 100 Mbps for individuals and businesses.
