Thales: contract for frigates with Royal Navy
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales will supply the Royal Navy with the most advanced mission systems to protect the UK's maritime interests worldwide.
It will equip the digital core of new generation type 31 frigates destined for the UK.
Thales will integrate the program's mission systems, and particularly their combat systems, communication systems, navigation systems and means of command.
The T31 program will equip the British government with a fleet of five multi-purpose frigates, that cost 250 million pounds each on average.
Thales will also open a new naval combat management centre in Crawley (West Sussex) and increase the capabilities of its mission systems as well as its future growth.
