Thales: contract for IFF systems in South Korea
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales announces that, in partnership with LIG Nex1, it has been selected to supply short-range IFF TSA 1412 interrogators to be integrated into portable missile systems and TSA 2522 interrogators for air defense vehicles in South Korea.
Thales said "IFF systems identify friendly platforms in the theatre of operations to prevent incidents of friendly fire and contribute to air traffic surveillance."
For this contract, Thales will ensure a transfer of production, relying on local SMEs. This is the third major contract for the TSA 1412, which has also been sold in the US, Japan and several European countries (UK, Sweden, etc.).
