Thales: to establish laboratory in Singapore
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales and the Singapore Civil Aviation Authority (CAAS) have announced the establishment, in Singapore, of a Joint Aviation Innovation Research laboratory (AIR Lab) for innovation in aeronautics.
This laboratory will mean an investment of 30 million Singaporean dollars (almost 20 million euros).
This laboratory will play a key role in the development of air traffic management.
"The AIR Lab will focus on the development of an Open ATM System architecture minimum viable product as its immediate priority... Through the AIR Lab, Thales will be increasing its level of investments into ATM-related research in Singapore," the group said.
"The AIR Lab will also provide a platform for multiple stakeholders, including Singapore enterprises with complementary capabilities."
