Thales: partners Micro-X for airport control systems
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales announces a partnership with Micro-X, an Australian startup, which will help improve controls at airports.
This partnership will accelerate the commercialisation of new equipment, especially 3D X-ray imaging.
The X-ray imaging system is based on the use of cathodes based on carbon nanotubes. This significantly improves the efficiency of X-ray imaging.
"X-ray 3D imaging is the cornerstone of many of the applications that are critical to security and medical markets" the group said.
This technology will enable travellers to directly pass control points and free space in airports, either for commercial use or to increase passenger numbers.
