Thales: supplies IFE AVANT to Singapore Airlines
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales has announced the commissioning on Monday of the new Airbus medium-haul A350-900 planes of Singapore Airlines that are equipped with its IFE AVANT system, which "provides passengers with a highly personalized inflight entertainment experience with a robust selection of features and applications".
Thales says that it was chosen by the airline in October 2015 to equip its new A350-900 medium-haul aircraft with IFE AVANT entertainment and connectivity solutions, to which are added its FlytCARE maintenance services.
The electronics group adds that passengers travelling on board these new planes will benefit from a broadband Wi-Fi service through the Global Xpress (GX) satellite network of the operator Inmarsat.
