Thales: New Zealand approves merger with Gemalto
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales and Gemalto announced late Thursday that they have obtained regulatory approval from the competition authority in New Zealand.
This authorisation follows Thales' commitment to divest its global business of General Purpose Hardware Security Modules (GP HSM, General Purpose Hardware Security Modules).
Thales and Gemalto now need to obtain the remaining regulatory authorisations in Australia, the US, Mexico and Russia.
