Thales: launches its Bluescan acoustic system
(CercleFinance.com) - At Euronaval 2018, the World Trade fair of future naval technologies, Thales has announced the launch of BlueScan, a new integrated acoustic system that is based on Big data and Artificial Intelligence.
BlueScan will enable the operator to control the submarine acoustic situation thanks to its processing and fusion capacity of data collected from a set of acoustic switches that are both heterogeneous and complementary, the group said.
This system will accompany the Marines in their anti-submarine missions and will equip the French Navy's medium-sized frigates (FTI). It has been chosen by the Directorate General of Armament (DGA) to equip the five future FTI.
