Thales: merger with Gemalto authorised in Turkey
(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday, Thales and Gemalto announced that Turkey's Competition Authority has officially authorised their merger.
Having already obtained regulatory authorisations from competition authorities in China and Israel, and authorisation decisions on foreign investment in Australia and Canada, Thales and Gemalto have now obtained 5 out of the 14 required regulatory authorisations.
Both companies continue to work actively with competent competition authorities to obtain remaining regulatory authorisations in South Africa, Australia, the US, the European Union, Mexico, New Zealand and Russia.
