Thales: agreement with SwRI for development of Stratobus
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales Alenia Space and the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate in the development of the Stratobus airship.
SwRI will provide Thales Alenia Space with advice and technical assistance.
Stratobus will carry out missions such as the surveillance of borders, critical sites on land and at sea (video protection of offshore platforms), military security (fight against terrorism, drug trafficking), as well as environmental control (forest fires, beach erosion, pollution, etc.) and telecommunications (internet, 5G).
