Thales: to provide new radars to Saudi Arabia

, which has been in charge of air traffic management in Saudi Arabia for a long time, has chosen Thales to modernise all surveillance radars in the Kingdom.

Thales will provide Monopulse Secondary Radars (MSSR) S surveillance modes for King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, the Riyadh King Khaled International Airport, the King Fahd International Airport of Dammam and Jazan Airport. These radars will provide full coverage in areas with high levels of traffic.

The radars provided by Thales represent the first phase of the program. The group will replace all radars already installed throughout the country.
