Thales: deploys connectivity solution at Spirit Airlines
(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday evening Thales announced that it has signed an agreement with Spirit Airlines to deploy FlytLIVE, a new generation connectivity solution, on US airline's (Airbus) aircraft.
"With FlytLIVE, Spirit's guests will enjoy full Internet services including video streaming, games and social media for an engaging experience in the air," Thales said.
Spirit Airlines is one of the largest carriers in the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean, with over 500 daily flights to 65 different destinations. The first planes embarking FlytLIVE are set to enter into service by the end of 2018, and the entire fleet should be equipped with the solution by the summer of 2019.
