Thales: signs contract for Shanghai metro
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales SEC Transport (TST), a joint venture created with Shanghai Electric, has signed a contract for the signalling of line 14 of the Shanghai Metro.
The group said that this will be a fully automated pilot scheme, with an integrated management system including signalling and supervision solutions.
Shanghai has begun to accelerate the development of urban rail transport, with 16 lines of a total length of 666 km already in service. The future Shanghai Metro Line 14, which is 38.5 km long, will cross Shanghai city centre from east to west, serving 31 underground stations.
