Thales: participates in contracts won in Qatar.
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales has announced its participation in the Qatar contract, which renews its confidence in the French industrial members of the consortium (Dassault Aviation, Thales and Safran) by equipping its armed forces with 12 additional Rafale combat aircraft.
Thales' contribution covers the RBE2 AESA nose-mounted radar, the Spectra self-protection system, the frontal sector Optronics (OSF) and the communication navigation identification (CNI) suite.
Thales is also involved in the supply of 50 Airbus A321 aircraft to Qatar Airways, 50 for which it provides the cockpits and the contract for the operation and maintenance of the automatic metro of Doha and the tramway of Lusail, which have been entrusted to RKH Qitarat.
