Thales: wins contract with Emirates.
(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday morning Thales reported that it has reached an agreement with Emirates to equip the new Boeing 777X fleet with high-speed, next-generation on-board connectivity using Inmarsat's global Global Xpress (GX) network.
Thanks to the partnership with Thales, Emirates' clients will benefit from an advanced connection on Boeing 777X planes, which are scheduled for delivery in 2020.
Emirates had already signed an agreement with Thales to equip its Boeing 777X fleet with the AVANT solution, a new-generation on-board entertainment system. This new agreement is part of Emirates and Thales plans to jointly develop and enhance cabin multimedia and connectivity (IFEC) onboard 777X aircraft, while perfecting Emirates' award-winning on-board entertainment system.
