Thales: contract with Oman Air for its AVANT system.
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales has announced that Oman Air, the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, has decided to equip its Boeing 737 MAX fleet with the AVANT system, Thales's state-of-the-art on-board entertainment solution.
The new aircraft will enter service from January 2018.
Business class passengers will benefit from the widest existing screens in single-aisle aircraft, while those in Business and Economy classes will have access to a wide range of entertainment and information features.
AVANT is an open platform that is based on Android, with very high capacity servers and lightweight high-definition screens. The system offers a customisable customer experience with the latest market applications.
