(CercleFinance.com) - Thales and Japan Airlines are celebrating the entry into service of the Boeing 787-9 in its new configuration, which is equipped with the new AVANT on-board entertainment system.
Japan Airlines is the first Asian airline to select AVANT for its Boeing 787. The group explained that AVANT, Thales' entertainment system, based on the Android system, offers a made-to-measure passenger experience with a wide range of features and applications.
The system offers audio and video on-demand (AVOD), games and customized applications for the Japanese company - shopping on board, the ordering of meals and Sky Manga, a manga e-book application. Magic VI offers a choice of 300 films, videos and music programmes.
