Michelin: acquisition of PTG and Teleflow.
(CercleFinance.com) - Michelin has announced the acquisition of PTG and Teleflow, tyre pressure control systems companies, which demonstrates Michelin's intention to become the world leader in Central Tyre Inflation Systems (CTIS) in the agricultural market.
These acquisitions also mark a transition for Michelin's agricultural product line, from the simple manufacture of agricultural tyres to the publication of solutions that take into account all aspects of the tyre's interaction with the ground.
PTG employs 12 people in Neuss, Germany, where it manufactures and markets systems to inflate tyres for vehicles and trailers. Based in Roanne, France, Téléflow employs 39 people.
