Wendel: welcomes Constantia deal.
(CercleFinance.com) - In a statement this Monday Wendel has welcomed the announcement by Constantia Flexibles, one of the world leaders in flexible packaging, of the signing of an agreement to sell its labels division.
This business was bought by Multi-Color for an enterprise value of approximately 1.15 billion euros.
Subject to the statutory regulatory approvals, the transaction is expected to be finalised in Q4 2017. The majority of the transaction will be paid for in cash and Constantia Flexibles will hold 16.6% of Multi-Color's share capital, thereby becoming its largest shareholder.
