Faurecia: launches takeover bid on Clarion tomorrow
(CercleFinance.com) - In accordance with its announcement of 26 October 2018 and following the green light from the competent authorities, Faurecia has announced the launch on 30 January of its takeover bid for all of Clarion's shares, a company that is listed in Tokyo.
Clarion shareholders will be able to tender their shares to the offer until 28 February. The company will offer a price of 2,500 yen per share. If necessary, Faurecia will implement a squeeze-out to acquire all remaining shares.
Thanks to the acquisition of Clarion, the French automotive supplier plans to create a new business based in Japan called, "Faurecia Clarion Electronics," which would employ nearly 9,200 people and over 1,650 software engineers.
