Faurecia: partnership with German group Hella in lighting
(CercleFinance.com) - The French automotive component supplier Faurecia this morning announced the conclusion of a "strategic partnership" with its German counterpart Hella on interior lighting of vehicles.
"Trends such as autonomous driving and individualization will completely redefine vehicle interiors. We are therefore already working intensively on concepts for vehicle interior lighting that enable a variety of new functionalities and can be adapted to the different needs of passengers and driving situations," said Rolf Breidenbach, Hella's CEO.
The exact terms of the cooperation between both groups have not yet been not specified.
"As a systems integrator in the vehicle interior, we have created partnerships to expand our technology expertise and become more agile. Our strategic collaboration with HELLA is the latest example of this approach," said Faurecia's CEO, Patrick Koller, who pointed out recent deals concluded with other similar groups, such as Mahle and ZF.
