LVMH: group and Arnault family give E200m for Notre Dame
(CercleFinance.com) - The Arnault family and the LVMH group confirm their intention to join forces in the reconstruction of the iconic Notre Dame cathedral, which was ravaged by a fire yesterday.
The family and the group announce their intention to give, in proportions that were not specified, a total of 200 million euros to the fund that will be dedicated to the reconstruction of the emblematic building of the city of Paris and France.
Furthermore, LVMH "puts at the disposal of the State and the relevant authorities all its teams - including creative, architectural and financial specialists - to help with the long work of reconstruction and fundraising, which is already in progress," it said in a statement.
At the end of December 2018, the Arnault family group held a 47.2% stake in LVMH, the world's leading luxury group.
