Bic: takes over Rocketbook in the US
(CercleFinance.com) - Bic announces the signing of an agreement to acquire 100% of Rocketbook, based in Boston (Massachusetts), the leading American brand of reusable smart notebooks.
The deal is subject to compliance with The company, which is, subject to the fulfilment of certain customary conditions.
"The digital writing segment is a fast-growing market and Rocketbook's innovative products, coupled with BIC's industry expertise, retail reach, and global footprint offers substantial growth opportunities," Bic said.
The transaction will entail an upfront payment of 34 million euros (40 million dollars), with a deferred payment to be determined based on Rocketbook's future performance. It is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
