Pernod Ricard: donates alcohol to fight epidemic
(CercleFinance.com) - As part of the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, Pernod Ricard announces a donation of 70,000 litres of pure alcohol to Laboratoire Cooper, one of the French leaders in everyday health products, and the leading supplier of hydroalcoholic gels to pharmacies.
This donation from Ricard will enable Cooper to further increase its alcohol deliveries to pharmacies that can now produce hydroalcoholic gel, i.e. the equivalent of approximately 1.8 million individual 50 ml bottles.
The spirits giant also says that in Sweden, Ireland, Spain or the United States, operations are in the process of being deployed to directly produce hydroalcoholic sanitary solutions at its plants, or provide stocks of pure alcohol.
