Natixis: contemplates long-term partnership with Oddo BHF.
(CercleFinance.com) - Natixis and Oddo BHF are considering a long-term partnership to create a major player in continental Europe in the business of equity trading and primary equity deals.
Both groups explained that the combination of the research and sales teams serving corporate clients and investors, coupled with the strength of Natixis' corporate banking division and Oddo BHF's distribution capacity will enable them to gain market share.
Natixis has said that it wants to strengthen its position as a major player in the primary equity market (capital increases and IPOs). Oddo BHF wants to invest in trading activities and research, with aims to strengthen its place in France and to increase its coverage of German shares.
