Natixis: Mirova acquires Althelia Ecosphere.
(CercleFinance.com) - Natixis announced on Monday evening the finalisation of the acquisition of Althelia Ecosphère by Mirova, a subsidiary of Natixis Global Asset Management.
It has acquired a 51% stake in Althelia Ecosphère, an asset management company that specialises in "impact investing", which aims to allocate one billion euros for investment in natural capital by 2022.
The remaining capital will be held by its two founders, Sylvain Goupille and Christian Del Valle. A gradual withdrawal mechanism will then enable both parties to harmonise their interests over the medium term and Mirova to gradually increase its stake to 100% by 2022.
