Danone: new 'B Corp'-certified subsidiaries
(CercleFinance.com) - Danone announced after trading on Thursday that it has reached a milestone in reaching its global ambition "B Corp," with the certification of new subsidiaries in the United States and Canada.
Danone North America, which operates in the United States, and Danone Canada have indeed been issued the so-called "B Corp" certification, two years ahead of schedule.
"Thanks to these new achievements, approximately 30% of Danone's global business is now covered by B Corp certification. This is a major milestone towards Danone achieving its global B Corp certification ambition; a key component of the company's longstanding commitment to deliver financial success along with social and environmental progress" Danone said.
Danone North America also becomes the largest company in the world that is certified "B Corporation," while Danone Canada becomes the largest consumer goods company certified "B Corporation" in Canada.
