Sanofi: extends collaboration with Translate Bio
(CercleFinance.com) - Sanofi Pasteur, Sanofi's global vaccine commercial entity, and Translate Bio have announced expanding their collaboration and licence agreement signed in 2018 with the aim of developing mRNA vaccines for the prevention of infectious diseases.
Translate Bio will receive an initial payment of 425 million dollars, including a 125 million dollar stake in its capital, and will receive up to 1.9 billion dollars in potential milestone payments, as well as tiered royalties on worldwide sales of developed vaccines.
Sanofi Pasteur will pay all the costs during the period of collaboration. Under the terms of this agreement, it will obtain exclusive global rights on vaccines against infectious diseases through Translate Bio technology.
