Sanofi: launches clinical trials for coronavirus
(CercleFinance.com) - The Sanofi share is up over 1% this morning after the group announced the launch of a phase 2 and 3 clinical trial with its partner Regeneron for the evaluation of Kevzara for patients with coronavirus.

Sanofi plans to further research an advanced preclinical vaccine candidate against SARS that could also protect against COVID-19.
At the end of February 2020, Sanofi Pasteur said that it wanted to use its previous research on severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) to try to accelerate the development of a vaccine against COVID-19.
Sanofi specified that it is collaborating with BARDA (Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority), under the Office in charge of preparations and responses to public health emergencies (ASPR, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response) of US Department of Health.
