Sanofi: positive test results for Olipudase alfa
(CercleFinance.com) - Sanofi has announced that Olipudase alfa has given positive results in two separate clinical trials evaluating its contribution for the treatment of acid sphingomyelinase deficiency (ASMD) in adult and pediatric patients.
"Olipudase alfa is the first and only investigational enzyme replacement therapy in late-stage development for the treatment of ASMD. No treatments are currently approved for ASMD," Sanofi said.
Results from these trials will be submitted to future medical meetings and will form the basis of global regulatory submissions that Sanofi will make from the second half of 2021.
