Sanofi: reaches agreement with SEC
(CercleFinance.com) - Sanofi has announced reaching an agreement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
This agreement brings a final end end to the SEC's investigation into possible violations of US law on corruption practices abroad (US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act).
The company said that it neither admits to, nor denies, having committed any fraud.
Under the agreement, Sanofi has agreed to pay 25,206,145 dollars and will voluntarily report, for two years, on the effectiveness of its strengthened internal controls and its anti-corruption program.
