Sanofi: negotiates sale of Zentiva to Advent
(CercleFinance.com) - Sanofi has announced beginning with Advent exclusive negotiations to sell Zentiva, its European generic business, for 1.
9 billion euros, based on a firm offer from Advent, which is irrevocable, and fully funded.
As a venture capital firm with over 25 years' experience in health, Advent will work in partnership with Zentiva's management and will invest in the company's businesses, its production facilities and R&D portfolio.
The deal is expected to be closed by the end of 2018, subject to the conclusion of definitive agreements and approval from regulatory authorities, and after consultation with staff representative bodies.
