Sanofi: towards a disposal of 3 billion euros?

(CercleFinance.com) - According to Le Figaro, Sanofi is on the verge of selling its generic drugs in Europe, which are sold under the trade name of Zentiva.

The group expects up to three billion euros from this sale.

According to the newspaper, the pharmaceutical group has reportedly commissioned two investment banks, Rothschild and JPMorgan in the affair.

In 2015, the consolidation scope represented turnover of 800 million euros (+4.7% over one year), and a workforce of 3,000, of which about 200 were in France.

Several investment funds have already expressed their interest in the case, with le Figaro mentioning Blackstone, CVC, BC Partners, Carlyle, Cinven and even Advent.
