Bouygues: acquires technology for offshore wind energy
(CercleFinance.com) - Bouygues Travaux Publics has expanded its range of infrastructure solutions for offshore wind farms with the exclusive acquisition of the OO-STAR floating base technology from Floating Wind Solutions.
The construction group said that this technology can be adapted to a wide range of marine environments, reducing the carbon footprint of wind farm infrastructure and cutting operating and maintenance costs.
Bouygues Travaux Publics and Olav Olsen, original developer of the technology, now intend to combine their engineering and construction expertise to optimise the design and implementation process for this technology.
