Bouygues: signs agreement to acquire Equans
(CercleFinance.com) - After all the relevant employee representative bodies have given their opinions, Bouygues has announced that it has signed an agreement with Engie to acquire Equans.
This transaction is expected to be completed in the second half of 2022.
The transaction remains subject to the finalisation of the constitution of the Equans perimeter by Engie and the obtaining of all regulatory approvals in terms of merger control and foreign investment control.
For the record, Bouygues and Engie entered into a purchase agreement last November under which the conglomerate agreed to acquire 100% of Equans, with a view to creating a new global leader in multi-technology services.
