Bouygues: Colas wins contract for Liège tramway
(CercleFinance.com) - Colas, a subsidiary of Bouygues that is specialised in transport infrastructure, has announced the signing of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agreement for the financing, design, construction and maintenance of the first tram line in Liège.
This contract was signed by the Tram'Ardent consortium, which includes Colas Belgium, Colas Projects and Colas Rail Belgium. With a term of 31 years, it includes a period of design-completion of 45 months, followed by a maintenance period of 27 years.
Liège's first tramway line is 12 km long, with 90% reserved lane. It will have 21 stations and connect the multimodal station of Sclessin, southwest of Liège, to Coronmeuse in the northeast, via the TGV High Speed train station and Saint Lambert Square.
