Bouygues: forecasts cut for Construction division
(CercleFinance.com) - On the presentation of its H1 2018 results, Bouygues mentioned difficulties faced by Bouygues Construction in finalising three projects in the Energy and Utilities sector, while Colas had problems in specialty activities, particularly in railways in France.
The group said that the situation deteriorated in the third quarter of 2018, and that given this, it now expects a drop (vs. an improvement previously) in the underlying operating profit and underlying operating margin of its construction businesses in 2018.
However, Bouygues confirms the outlook for TF1 and Bouygues Telecom and expects flat or a slight decrease in underlying operating income at the group level compared to 2017.
